Não tenho certeza se isso pode dar erro mas o teu PackageName está fora do padrão. O correto é o domínio ao contrário.
Ex: br.com.forcavendas.ForcaVendas

Não querendo ser chato já sendo, esses comentários que vcs falaram são de grande importância sendo que vcs tem essa visão devido a apps de vcs já publicadas e com isso da para ter uma base legal. Ficar fazendo if por causa de versões e onerar o app é lamentável mesmo.
Com relação ao tópico pois fugiu um pouco, existem outras alternativas de lib helper que vcs já usaram.
