Pelo que eu vejo, o ideal é não tem Splash. 

 Mas como as pessoas insistem!!!

é só colocar no LinearLayout (se for o caso)  android:background a imagem com match_parent como width e height.

 E uma boa qualidade da sua imagem, acho que resolve o seu caso. 

Mas lembre que o ideal é não colocar Splash.
